BIO: William Timmons is a Republican representing South Carolina’s 4th congressional district. The former prosecutor and current first lieutenant was sworn into office on Jan. 3, 2019.
Timmons was clearly destined for politics, as he studied law and international studies at the University of South Carolina and earned degrees in international affairs and political science from George Washington University.
He continues to serve as a first lieutenant in the South Carolina National Guard and a JAG officer assigned to the 263rd Army Air Missile Defense Command in Anderson, S.C.
Timmons also spent four years as a prosecutor with South Carolina’s 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, where he helped create a centralized court for domestic violence cases in Greenville County.
